It is rare to find a band emerging that does not sound similar to many successful bands before them, except on one occasion.
That occasion would be the existence of Watashi Wa who’s recently released junior album “The Love of Life,” from Tooth and Nail Records is definitely here to set the new standard for pop rock.It is rare to find a band emerging that does not sound similar to many successful bands before them, except on one occasion. That occasion would be the existence of Watashi Wa who’s recently released junior album “The Love of Life,” from Tooth and Nail Records is definitely here to set the new standard for pop rock. With an intelligent mix of pop and rock, the new album summarizes the well-rounded band by balancing strong vocal arrangements with reinforcing drums, bass and guitar. “All of Me” and “With Love From Me to You” are bound to captivate any audience. According to band member Seth Alan Roberts the song “All of Me’ is about what I believe and how I will not compromise it or give it up for anything.” (Watashi Wa). The well-produced album will install a continuous vibe in anyone who listens even long after the songs are no longer playing. And, to their advantage Watashi Wa’s formula of getting their point across can easily make anyone vulnerable to becoming a fan. The purity of The Love of Life just goes to compliment a group of four individuals who are a definite relief to what has been categorized as pop rock. The Love of Life is undeniably 12 tracks of mature harmony. And, as if Watashi Wa’s creativity was not enough, they extend their uniqueness by adding customized tunes such as “Everything” and “Life is Beautiful.” The bottom line is Watashi Wa makes music for everyone. Their combination of inspirational lyrics and heart-throbbing melodies reinforces the fact that The Love of Life is the new attraction to pop rock. Besides making it perfectly clear that they have crafted their own style, Watashi Wa has shown us that replica bands are yesterday’s news. |
