| In 2002 an Army brat and aspiring singer exploded on the charts with a harmonious, innovative debut album entitled All I Have. Girlish, fierce, sexy and sweet, All I Have spawned the smash "Why Don't We Fall In Love" (produced by a then under-the-radar Rich Harrison) and let it be known that the new breed of hip hop/soul's chief practitioner was a 22-year-old, DC beauty named Amerie. |

From the days he grew up in Washington Heights, he knew his addiction would not be cured. The bass pumping loud from the speakers urged him to do it. He had no other choice but to take full advantage of the needle he curiously watched others abuse before him. He still has the habit today.
For the past 9 years, he has been breaking vinyl with sharp needles that only an experienced DJ would know how. The newest addition to Extreme Visionz Management and Shadyville Entertainment, DJ Marv LS has put out over 5,000 mix tape units a month generating an overwhelming buzz.
Recently, Marv LS was a part of a project called the "NYC Takeover Montreal" in which he says "We are trying to close the gap. We concentrate on places like Montreal." He dominated Montreal's radio stations and burnt the airwaves with his natural talent. And, since then finished projects: "The Jump Off" and "The Platinum Series" which features artists such as 50 cent, Wyclef and Capone.
During his career, the 22-year-old has worked with Funk Master Flex, Kid Capri and Biggie Small's own DJ Mr.Cee. He has been the music provider for the album release parties of Jay Z, DJ Clue, Carl Thomas and Angie Martinez of Hot 97 in New York.
In addition to those accomplishments at such a young age, the multi-talented DJ has appeared twice on BET's "The Bassment" with host Big Tigger. Overseas is not any different when it comes to Marv LS making an impact. He has performed in Puerto Rico, Japan, Dominican Republic and Canada.
Now with notoriety in the states and overseas, Marv LS hopes to work with more artist and continuously works hard to produce material that will dominate the charts on and off the street.
"I'm looking forward to working with Baby Face and the Da Brat," said Marv LS. "I am doing a lot of album release parties. It's a lot of exposure."
Besides his well-crafted skill as a DJ, Marv LS also forecasts his role as a producer. "Eventually, a DJ always ends up being a producer," he laughed. "In the next 5 years I will still be making records. I'll still be busy." |
